![]() I just can't seem to get it working right on my desktop, which makes me a sad penguin. I know this because I have a laptop running Ubuntu that it works perfectly on, and that is the ppd they used. Here's the thing, I know the printer works under linux with the hl-3070 ppd file. I have converesed with all mighty google. I have done a rain dance with a silly hat. I have restarted cupsd many times, and refreshed the CUPS page many times, even closing it and opening it anew. I also tried to follow those instructions on that page. I have installed the foomatic drivers as instructed by. I have set the permissions as advised by the brother website instructions. I have downloaded the ppd file for the HL-3070 (BR3070_2_GPL.ppd) (they don't have one for the 3075) and moved it to the appropriate folder (/usr/share/cups/model) I have followed the ArchWiki for CUPS (already have a HP Photosmart Printer). The only problem is, I can't seem to get it working under Arch Linux 圆4. ![]() So, I was lucky enough to receive a new laser printer, a Brother HL-3075CW, which is great because I do lots of printing.
